New research has found that the cheapest holidays to Majorca are available in August and September.
Researchers from Which? Holiday studied the price of three separate holidays to Majorca flying out in July of this year and discovered that the best deals had been available in August and September 2007.
The study showed that the cost continued to rise throughout the year with one of the examples increasing by as much as £1,044.
Lorna Cowan, editor of Which? Holiday, said that booking at the right time can "save you a small fortune" and for families wanting to get away next summer with specific destinations in mind, she recommends booking in the next month or so "to avoid disappointment when it comes to availability and cost".
The hundreds of pounds you could save by booking early could be vital and will more than pay for a family trip on a submarine in Magaluf, for example.
Nemo Submarines offer excursions in a real submarine that takes lucky holidaymakers on a 20-metre-deep trip to find out about Majorca and its array of underwater flora and fauna.
