| People who keep up to date with information about Majorca may already be aware the island has proven popular with footballers this summer. Therefore, they may not be surprised to learn another squad have booked a cheap flight and headed to the Balearic destination, according to the Reading Post. Kidmore End player James Day wrote a column for the news provider''s website revealing all about the group''s trip to the hotspot. "Wives, girlfriends and prospective partners will be pleased to know most of us remained whiter than white whilst away in Magaluf, or browner than brown if you''re Christian King," he said, referencing a player who came home with an impressive tan. Other soccer stars known to favour Majorca include Glasgow players Kevin Thomson and Scott Brown, who turn out for Rangers and Celtic respectively. The pair enjoyed a stag party on the island earlier this year, while Everton manager David Moyes reportedly consoled himself in Magaluf after the team''s defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup Final in May. ![]() |
