Tuesday 8th Sep 2009 at 10:35
Those planning to enjoy a spot of walking on their holiday to Majorca have been advised they can expect varied terrain.

A column in the Guardian has highlighted the abundance of rambling routes at the Balearic destination, stating it could be perfect for seaside jaunts along with rural romps.

The article mentioned the Monnaber hotel in the north of the island and suggested it could be a good place to go for a "fit and relax" vacation.

"If you don''t fancy K2 this year and would prefer your walking as a complementary therapy alongside relaxation and massages Â… [it] could be your pampered thing," the piece said.

Jacuzzis and pools are available to soak in here, while budding Andy Murrays can sharpen their skills on the tennis court.

Meanwhile, people who keep up to date with information about Majorca may already be aware it has been something of a hotspot for the rich and famous this summer.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are among the stars who have topped up their tans and enjoyed the island''s attractions this year.ADNFCR-917-ID-19351681-ADNFCR
