| Those considering a holiday to Majorca have been advised it is home to an appealing mix of destinations. Writing for the Daily Telegraph, Graham Boynton recommended vacationers head a little off the beaten track when planning a trip to the island. He detailed a journey to smaller resorts such as Valldemossa and Deia, describing the latter as a "picture-book village". Foradada, meanwhile, is "one of the island''s great beauty spots", with Fornalutx noted to be one of the most beautiful areas of Spain. The column also recounted a jaunt to the island''s capital Palma, where Mr Boynton visited the "magnificent" cathedral and strolled on cobbled streets. Families planning to book a cheap flight to the city could head to its aquarium, where there are a range of sea creatures. "Majorca is a green and mountainous island with a coastline of often exquisite natural beauty and a local population keen to correct preconceptions," Mr Boynton concluded. ![]() |
