| Brits looking to take a romantic break this summer may wish to consider a holiday in Majorca. The Mirror has named the island as one of the best Mediterranean destinations for couples. Furthermore, Hotel Pollentia, which is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts, was described as the ideal place to stay. "The hotel has its own gardens and the use of a neighbouring hotel''s pool and tennis court, or you can stroll a few yards on to the beach for a dip in the shallow waters," the publication noted. Couples will find no shortage of places to explore, according to the newspaper, with Puerto Pollenca home to a number of romantic quayside restaurants. Meanwhile, those planning to take a Majorca holiday this summer may be interested to know that officials on the island are calling for a smoking ban to be introduced, the Majorca Daily Bulletin reports. ![]() |
