Budding David Attenboroughs may be interested in gaining more information about Majorca and its critters by booking a holiday to the island this year.

The destination''s plants and animals have been highlighted in an article in the Daily Telegraph, which described its wildlife as "fascinating".

In particular, the column noted the range of creatures in the Balearic resort, adding its diversity is perpetually increasing.

Journalist Stephen Lacey revealed he had been cultivating a green space on the island in recent years, explaining: "All sorts of things have appeared, from red dragonflies breeding in the pools, to nightjars drinking on the wing at midnight."

Meanwhile, those with an interest in marine creatures may wish to book a cheap flight to Palma and visit its aquarium.

The attraction houses around 8,000 underwater critters and 700 different species.
