Tuesday 9th Jun 2009 at 17:29
Selina Scott may know a lot of information about Majorca and what it has to offer because she reportedly holidays there habitually.

In fact, the former presenter of Breakfast Time loves the sun-drenched island so much that she has bought a home there and has written a book about it, the Northern Echo relayed.

The news provider claimed she regularly escapes to her "lovingly-restored holiday home" and details the renovation process in A Long Walk in the Hills.

Speaking to the Times newspaper, she said: "I go at times in the year when it is quite quiet and the flowers and the birds are wonderful."

The star added that it can give holidaymakers a "feeling of renewal", particularly in January when everything is serene and "calm".

Anyone who visits at this time of the year feels like they have beaten everyone to the sunshine, she concluded.

During the winter months, the average temperature is about 15 degrees C and rarely drops below ten degrees.ADNFCR-917-ID-19209235-ADNFCR
