News Article Soccer coach takes stock on Majorca holiday
Wednesday 27th May 2009 at 11:41
The reputation of Majorca as the place where sports stars go to get away from it all has been further enhanced.

Jimmy Calderwood – sacked as manager of Aberdeen FC earlier this week – has been taking stock on a holiday to the island.

He spent the last few days at luxury accommodation in Santa Ponsa, according to the Aberdeen Evening Express.

Calderwood was joined by Sandy Clark and Jimmy Nicholl – his backroom coaches who also lost their jobs – on the trip.

The trio "lay on sunbeds, baking by the pool", the news provider said.

Elsewhere in the article, it was noted "the tranquil setting seemed to instill a serene calmness" in the soccer coach.

It is not the first time Calderwood has visited the Spanish hotspot – earlier this year he posted about Majorca on his Twitter account.

Another star of pitch who recently enjoyed a holiday at the destination is Germany''s international manager Joachim Low, who headed over to take advantage of the local golf facilities earlier this month.ADNFCR-917-ID-19188718-ADNFCR
